Crumbed Camembert & Bacon Bites

Ingredients:

2 packs Georgie's Streaky Bacon (200g)
1 Whole Camembert Cheese
50g Flour
2 Eggs (beaten)
50g Breadcrumbs
Cranberry sauce
Oil for frying
Bamboo skewers

Method:

Cut the Camembert cheese into 4 or 8 portions.

Place 1 piece of bacon vertically and one piece of bacon horizontally at the bottom of vertical piece of bacon (forming an upside down T).

Wrap the bacon around the pieces of Camembert, starting with the horizontal piece of bacon.

Skewer the bacon and Camembert to secure bacon in place and to use the skewer to fry the bacon parcel.

Coat the bacon parcel in flour.

After coating with flour, dip the bacon parcel in the egg.

Place the bacon parcel into the breadcrumbs.

Heat the oil in a suitable pan or pot to fry. Do not over-heat the oil as you will need the bacon to cook too.

Fry the parcels until golden brown and remove from oil.

Serve the bacon parcels with garnish of your choice and some cranberry sauce.
